DT Gen Filming
DT Gen specialise in the design, supply, installation, testing and maintenance of standby power systems and energy solutions, supporting customers on their journey to net zero. While they’re passionate about delivering exceptional solutions, they’re equally committed to building lasting relationships with their customers.
In late June, DT Gen invited a group of customers to enjoy a day at the Land Rover Experience in Rockingham. The event was all about stepping away from the day-to-day, strengthening relationships and enjoying some friendly competition on the off-road course.
Our brief was simple – capture the atmosphere, the action and the fun.
With six Defenders tackling two separate off-road courses and just a two-hour filming window, careful planning was key.
Before filming began, Stu joined one of the experienced instructors for a lap of both courses to identify the best locations for fixed cameras, drone shots and ground-level viewpoints. This meant he could move quickly between key sections of the course and capture every driver in action. The instructors were also equipped with portable cameras, giving us authentic in-car footage of customers enjoying the experience.
Despite temperatures reaching 35°C, the team kept everything running smoothly, capturing dynamic aerial footage alongside action-packed ground shots to ensure every customer and every moment was covered.
The final film exceeded expectations, and DT Gen were delighted with the result. By combining drone footage, fixed cameras, ground-level action and in-car perspectives, the finished video feels as though it was captured by a much larger production crew.
Stu’s planning and determination meant every key moment was captured despite the tight schedule and challenging conditions, while John’s edit brought it all together into a fast-paced, engaging film that perfectly reflected the energy of the day.
It was a fantastic event from start to finish and the appreciation shown by the DT Gen team and their guests (including a well-deserved round of applause for Stu at the end of the day), made all the hard work worthwhile.
