World Mental Health Day and Welton Media

10th October 2017

At Welton Media we pride ourselves on being able to film and get the best footage from individuals from all walks of life. Over the years we are working more and more with organisations, charities and CIC's who are promoting their work with vulnerable adults and children. Interviewing and capturing footage, whilst adhering to safeguarding rules and ensuring all who are being filmed feel comfortable, is a struggle at times. We want our clients to get the best possible results with them having to do a minimal amount of work. On the day of filming and in the production process, we take the creative lead. Working with adults and children with mental health issues and learning disabilities, can sometimes go completely off tangent depending on the wellness of the individual. It is up to us to calm, reassure and change plans when individuals feel out of their comfort zone.

Over the years our client list in this sector has grown, Future Directions CICPsychological Professions Network, Circus StarrGreen Dreams ProjectAddvanced SolutionsAlternative Futures GroupBrightlife CheshireAge UK CheshireAiming High Sefton and Merseycare, to name a few. All of the videos we produce have a story to tell, they are original, they are heartwarming and they are selling the bespoke service that the organisation is offering. We have had some amazing feedback regarding our work and we are now known by a lot of service users and people the organisation's are supporting, allowing us to have a relationship and rapport prior to the filming taking place. It is not just the people we are filming, it's knowing the ethos and values of the organisation we are working for and implementing them into how we film and produce our videos.

We care, we support, we are emotive, we are respectful and we produce films which make a difference.

"Welton Media are all professional, approachable and positive, especially with people with learning disabilities. Nothing is ever too much trouble and the service users never fail or get things wrong as the crew always find a way."

Angela Hargreaves, Merseycare.

"The enthusiasm and passion Welton Media give to the projects they have worked on with Sefton is amazing. We have used them a number of times over the last few years and each project has been a great success. Nobody likes being interviewed but the Welton Media team have a way of getting the best out of everybody."

Richard Potts, Aiming High, Sefton
